Our Y Stories

Every day at Y-Haven, lives change for the better. A program of the YMCA of Greater Cleveland, Y-Haven provides substance use disorder treatment, mental health counseling and interim housing for three primary populations:

From a bus ride to the Cleveland Museum of Art to traveling by airplane to Iceland, the YMCA of Greater Cleveland’s Active Older Adults (AOAs) are on the move!  In fact, this year alone, our Y has scheduled more than 55 trips across town and around the world for its loyal AOAs.

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland has been selected as a provider under the Ohio ACE program. This program provides funds for students and families to use on various enrichment and educational activities such as day camps, before-and-after-school programs and field trips.

The West Park-Fairview Family YMCA offers a swimming pool, community garden, child watch, personal training, fitness center, and more. Did you know they also have Olympic Weightlifting equipment utilized over the decades to train several nationally recognized Weightlifters?

March is National Women’s History Month! We are celebrating and reflecting on the roles women have held which strengthen communities and advance agendas for the greater good of all. In looking around our region and across the globe, we see promising leadership and vision being shown by many women.
